Don't do business with them! My wife and I set up an appointment with Rick to inspect a house we are purchasing. He was a no show. I attempted to call, he never answered the call and never called back. That is RUDE! If he couldn't do it, then he should have said so and not set up an appointment with us. If he had to cancel, he should of called.

Let me start off by saying that I've never felt compelled to write a review of a business before, but I feel it is necessary after my experience with Edwardsville Electric. I worked with Rick, I believe the owner. First, I will say that the work I had done is satisfactory, but I am not pleased with the overall experience. I called Rick on a Thursday to schedule the work I was going to have done and he told me he would be out first thing on the following Tuesday, or at least would call me first thing. I waited until nearly noon until I called him back and he said he was tied up in a job and couldn't be out until later that afternoon. He arrived at nearly 3:00 pm and I showed him the work. He never offered to give a bid and I've never had work like this done before, so I didn't ask for one. He said the job seemed pretty simple and he would be over first thing in the morning. He didn't arrive until nearly 11:00 the next day saying he got tied up in another job. He started work that day (Wednesday), but it seemed to me that it was at a snail's pace. I was having to watch my daughter while he worked so I couldn't keep that close of an eye on him, but it seemed like I would see him do something, leave for nearly an hour, come back and he would have made very little progress. It seemed to me like he was really dragging his feet on the job (he charged me $80 an hour, so perhaps that's why...). He stopped working at about 2:30 that day and said he would be back at about 8:30 in the morning the next day. He didn't show until after 9:30 the next day and it was the same slow pace. At the end of this day (Thursday), he said he couldn't come over the next day because he had promised other people he would do their job the next day (Friday). I understand scheduling conflicts, but I did not feel very important. He left a lot of materials out that I had to move around so they weren't in the way. He came back after the weekend on Monday and showed up at 8:20 or so and got to work. I had to have him make an adjustment to some conduit he was running which he said should be no problem. He said he thought the job should go pretty quickly that day; He spent 8 hours at my house and seemingly had everything done long before he left. He said he had to "clean up" which he did poorly and took at least an hour and half. There were bits of wire, screws, and bolts left in quite a few places. I know I was a bit naive going into this process and I should've asked for a bid, I should've compared him to other electricians, I should've expected a large bill, but I was not impressed with this experience. Again, the work done is satisfactory as everything works, but he left a mess and took his sweet time. I will NOT be recommending this company to anyone and will not use them in the future.

I believe that Edwardsville Electric is an honest company and that they really take care of their customer. I absolutely refer Edwardsville Electric.

I had a great experience with Edwardsville Electric a few years ago. They rewired my older home including adding new wiring, updating gfcis, and switching the house from old fuses to circuit breakers. The price was very competitive, they did a great job, and they cleaned up the area well. I highly recommend them

I recently worked with Edwardsville Electric on a re-wire for my older home. I received multiple bids for the project and felt very confident selecting Edwardsville Electric. I really enjoyed working with Rick, the owner. He is very professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. He went above and beyond from start to finish with my project offering creative and valuable solutions and explaining everything along the way. Both he and his team were great to work with, prompt, and readily available by phone with any questions during the project. The project schedule was explained in advance and finished on time.

I had Edwardsville Electric add cans lights to our living room, and change other can lights to LED trims. Steve & Jim were very professional and efficient. They cleaned up after themselves, and left the worksite in excellent condition. I will be using Edwardsville Electric again and recommend them to anyone who needs electrical work to be done.
